Scheduled Power Outage Planned for June 24

On June 24, 2024, Southern California Edison will be conducting repairs to the electrical grid within Death Valley National Park between the hours of 8am and 5pm. During these hours there will be no power to any of our facilities at The Oasis at Death Valley.

For guests checking out on June 24th, the check-out time has been moved up to 10am. For those checking in on June 24th, the hotel expects that check-in times may be delayed beyond the normal 4pm and early check-ins will not be available. Services that require power–like Wi-Fi, cell service, EV chargers, and in-room amenities such as air conditioning–will not be available during the power outage.

Dining operations on June 24th are expected to be as follows:

  • 10am to 8pm – Lunch and dinner available at The Ranch’s Wild Rose Tavern
  • 5pm to close – Ice Cream Parlor (ice cream and soft drinks only), The Last Kind Words Saloon (drinks only until 6pm), The Inn Lounge (drinks only), and Inn Pool Café (drinks only)
  • 6pm to close – Dinner available at The Last Kind Words Saloon and The Inn Dining Room

  • The Ranch Town Hall and Registration building
  • The Wild Rose Tavern
  • The Inn Front Desk and Lounge
  • The Ranch General Store

Our retail outlets–General Store, Wild Rose Golf Shop, Gas Station (pumps only), Oasis Shoppe (open at 5pm)–and all outdoor activities–including the pools, tennis, golf, and sport courts–will be open.
